FRAMING EQUALITY and EQUALITY IN FOCUS are two projects that took shape as a photography and video workshops conducted by APIS Institute in order to overcome stereotypes and empower\u00a0migrant and Roma women living in Slovenia. In the framework of these projects, 8 photo-stories<\/a> and 5 short films<\/a><\/b>\u00a0have been created. Through these media, the participants uncovered their own personal stories and therefore added a personal touch. These stories draw a mosaic of a few women in Slovenia who struggled because of their non-Slovenian\u00a0origin. Most of all, they remind us that in the end, we are all human.<\/b><\/p>\n

In this era of multicultural society, understanding people from another cultural environment is extremely important; a photo exhibition and short film screenings opened a different and more intimate perspective to the viewer in order to better understand diversity.<\/p>\n

The authors of the exhibition Framing Equality come from different cultural environments, but all live in Slovenia.<\/p>\n
